1. Information We Collect
When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials via our authentication provider (Clerk). When you run audits, we process the URLs you submit and store the resulting reports and findings.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and improve the Cindex audit service, send you notifications about your reports (which you can disable in settings), and process payments through Stripe.
3. Data Storage
Your data is stored securely in Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security policies. We do not sell your data to third parties.
4. Third-Party Services
We use Clerk for authentication, Stripe for payment processing, Anthropic Claude for AI-powered analysis, and Resend for transactional emails. Each service has its own privacy policy governing the data they process.
5. How Audits Work
When you run an audit, Cindex fetches the public URL you provide over an encrypted connection. We capture page HTML and a screenshot solely to generate your report. No data is collected unless you explicitly initiate a scan, and results are only accessible to your account.
6. Data Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data from the Settings page in your dashboard. Upon deletion, all reports, findings, and personal data are permanently removed.
